What should I expect?
Welcome to Vineyard Community Church. A new or different church environment can be pretty intimidating, but we hope to be a safe place for you to pursue God. To help you feel more comfortable, here is what you can expect on a typical Sunday morning.
Where do my kids go?
Parents and children will be introduced to one of our children’s ministry workers. Children start the service with us for worship and the Mystery Box (Children’s Homily) after the the mystery box Children’s Church adjourns to their class. All childcare workers aged 18 and older are background checked yearly. You and your children are welcome to take advantage of our Children’s Church or enjoy the service together.
What do I wear?
Dress is usually pretty casual, but we want you to be comfortable. You may see everything from shorts and sandals to the occasional shirt and tie. Please, come as you are.
What about the service?
Our typical service begins with welcome/announcements, followed by a time of worship music. This short worship preps our hearts for a time of teaching from the Word of God. We seek the Spirit’s leading for intercession and healing, giving people opportunity to respond to God and ministering to one another as we move into a second time of worship. The service is usually over by 12:00 noon.
